KIDS COUNT
There is no age requirement to becoming an honorary Skeeter Beater. Kids can be Skeeter Beaters too and learn while they help other kids.
- Organize a class project with your teacher and the other kids in your class.
- Share what you learn of history, geography, science as well as your knowledge of kids in other lands with your classmates and teachers.
- Start a project with your Cub Scout Pack or Boy Scout Troop.
- Start a fundraiser with other kids at your church or youth group.
- Set up a sponsored bike ride, run, walk, or swim to raise money for mosquito nets to prevent malaria.
The Skeeter Beaters’ staff will help you with any project…
- Lots of materials available.
- SBF will set up a free website to track your project and the money you raise.
- Follow the money you raise from donation, through purchase, shipping, and distribution of your nets.
- Once delivered, SBF will provide you with photos and video of real kids receiving and using the nets you purchased.
- Interview the author of the Skeeter Beaters for your school, church, or scout project.
- Talk with one of the original Skeeter Beaters who was there when it all started.
- Send us photos and video of your project and we will display them on the SBF website and your free website so you get credit for the good work you have done.
Every kid can make a difference! Build pride in your accomplishments while helping real kids just like you who live in countries on the other side of the world that you have learned about in school.
Just like the original Skeeter Beaters, every kid can take part in world changing events.
Every idea is a good idea! Contact us today and we’ll work with you on any project and help get you started.
