The Skeeter Beaters Foundation is proud to have partnered with the US
Navy and their humanitarian project, Pacific Partnership 2011. This
project begins a new effort by SBF to provide survey equipment to Navy
doctors and entomologists to donate to local healthcare workers on their
tour of the South Pacific in the
summer of 2011.
The USS Cleveland is carrying $3000 of
vector survey equipment and backpack sprayers to be donated to
healthcare workers in Tonga, Vanuatu, and Micronesia on behalf of
Skeeter Beaters.
USN NPMU-5 (Navy Entomology & Emergency Medical Staff) will be
providing training in vector and Malaria control and the use of these
items.
